Article Cover

Discover how uniting rural women into structured Self-Help Groups (SHGs) coupled with digital financial literacy workshops and PM Mudra Yojana access is transforming household economies across remote Panchayats in Bihar.

In the remote districts of Bihar, financial independence for women has traditionally been a challenge. Through our specialized SHG model, we are witnessing a grassroots economic revolution.

The Core Strategy

We focus on forming small groups of 10-15 women. These groups meet weekly to save small amounts, which are then used for internal lending. Once the group matures, we facilitate their linkage with banks under the PM Mudra Yojana.

Impact and Future Goals

Over the last year, over 500 women have started micro-enterprises ranging from tailoring units to small retail shops. The goal is to scale this to 5,000 women by 2028.
